Our 5-step carpet care system
1. Carpet fibre pre-inspection
We will undertake carpet fibre identification and inspection. In simple terms, this means we identify the type of fibre in which your carpet is made of. Different fibres require slightly different treatment processes. While it’s important to provide your carpets with a superior clean, it’s equally important that we do not damage your carpet’s fibre or construction.
2. Pre-Vacuum (where necessary)
Depending upon the condition of your carpets, sometimes it might be necessary for Steve to vacuum clean your carpets, before the carpet cleaning process can begin. If this is required, Steve will use an industrial strength up-right filtration vacuuming device.
3. Pre-conditioning and spotting
You know those little spots and stains that you’ve unsuccessfully tried to remove in the past? Well, stage three targets these little carpet spoilers. During this phase, Steve will apply our specially formulated carpet cleaning detergents. These are applied hot and directly to unsightly stain(s).
Because we’ve already inspected your carpet’s fibre, we will only apply the correct detergent that is appropriate to your specific fibre. Oh yes, it starts working immediately too.
Note: some stains may incur an additional charge, depending upon the stain’s severity. We’ll always confirm this with you before we begin.
4. Deodorising and neutralising
At Clean Pest North Brisbane, we’re dead against crispy clean carpets, which smell like a basket full of dirty clothes. We believe that clean carpets must also smell clean. For this reason, stage four involves carpet deodorising and neutralising unwanted odours.
Apart from having carpet that smells like new, this treatment leaves no sticky residue. With its dirt repelling properties, re-soiling is greatly inhibited and leaves behind no chemical residue. It’s a nice touch!
5. Final grooming (optional extra)
The final stage in our quality carpet cleaning service is optional. It involves the removal of cleaning marks. We also reset the carpet pile, ensuring the pile is left standing to maximise appearance and reduce drying times.
